This highly nutritious fruit is known in Columbia as "The Natural Viagra";  It is consumed by men, women and children alike.  Research at the University of Santiago in Cali, had shown an abundance of a chemical called ¨sesquiterpelantond¨, which inhibits the cell growth in harmful tumors and shows promising in treatments of terrible illnesses, such as cancer.

After detailed analysis, the Borojo fruit proved to be the ONLY Natural Energy on the market. Thus it was recognized recently in the Congress of SIAL in Paris. Many researchers and European businesses are focusing on this fruit right now.

What Is Borojo?

Borojo is a highly energetic and nutritious fruit. It is commonly used in Colombia and Panama because of its aphrodisiac and medicinal properties ny men, women and children alike, and especially by ATHLETES.

Borojo is known to have a very high percentage of phosphor. This element is excellent for the brain functions, such as memory and concentration. Borojo has one of the highest levels of water-soluble B vitamins among fruits! In fact it is highly energetic, with a high content of soluble solids (30º Brix), consisting mainly of fructose and glucose, and a high protein content, with apparently non-limiting amounts of essential amino acids for adults; the phosphorus content (150 mg/100 g of pulp) is surprising, especially when compared to low soil content in the growing areas. The vitamins, minerals and proteins found in this fruit are an excellent source of energy for the active men and women.

In Panama, this fruit is known by the natives for centuries.  Because of its high energy, this fruit is carried  by the natives in theyr long journeys through the jungle.

Borojo is a fruit, which must be picked once it falls on the ground (full maturity). This is very important! Borojo fruit when fully ripened has a consistency like a very thick paste. To process this fruit (separation of seeds and skin), a certain amount of filtered water has to be used. (This is the ONLY WAY the fruit can go through the machine to be processed!)

What is Borojo Used For?

The pulp of the Borojo fruit is used to prepare juice (jugo del amor), compotes, marmalades, candies and wine.  This thick juice/pulp is used by the natives in Panama to heal injuries and to treat some illnesses, and has shown excellent results in balancing blood sugar levels, to fight malnutrition, to control Arterial Hypertension, and it has other medicinal uses as well.  Borojo has high content of amino acids; a pound of this fruit is equivalent to 3 lbs of fresh meat!

What Does Borojo Taste Like?

The Borojo fruit isn’t like anything you’ve ever tasted! It isn’t exactly sweet (it tastes more sour than sweet, but it is quite pleasant), and the honey that is added to this product, comes from natural sources, and contains NO chemicals, and NO antibiotics (usually used in the US and Canada to control sickness in bees.)

NOTE: There are two different versions of Borojo juice/pulp available. ONE – with Honey, and the other one – with just a touch of Honey (still, it tastes very good!) The second version would be more suitable for Diabetics and Hypoglycemics.

"We get the raw honey delivered at the processing facility, which then we filter from impurities." – says the owner of the company (manufacturing facility.) www.tropicshealth.com.

What is The Quality of This Product?

The owner assured me personally both on the telephone and in writing that his company is very careful in selecting the fruits for their products, and they went through a long process of selecting the right processing company to provide us with the quality products.

"As far as I know, we are the ONLY company in the world which manufactures these products. There are other Borojo products available on the Colombian market, but nothing of the quality and taste as ours!"

The manufacturing plant has the approval of the Panamanian Ministry of Health, Fire Department, Municipal Government and the Ministry of Labor. All of the processing equipment is made of stainless steel. The walls of the processing plant are painted with special paint, which will NOT emanate ANY fumes, and will NOT allow the formation of ANY fungus (AMR-400).  Every step of the processing of the Borojo fruit is done with extreme care and adherence to the highest sanitary standards.

This incredible product (Borojo fruit juice/pulp) has also been endorsed by a very well-known sports Authority. Dr. Tudor Bompa is a retired professor at York University in Toronto Ontario, Canada, where he taught the course entitled Theory and Methodology of Training. Dr. Bompa’s career in the international sports arena spans more than 40 years, beginning as a highly respected athlete.

How Is Borojo Processed?   p0000804.png   p0000811.png   Img21.png

The Owner of the Company provided me with the following steps in processing the BOROJO juice/pulp:

  1. The fruit is received at the processing facility.
  2. The fruit’s pH level and the degrees Brix (natural sugar level of the fruit) are measured.
  3. Borojo is then washed, and sorted. Any surface fruit defects are eliminated prior to putting the fruits through the machine. (Despulpadora).
  4. The allowed quantity of filtered water is added to the fruit during step #2.
  5. The "juice" resulting from this process is filtered of impurities, and the required quantity is filled in the "marmita".
  6. The pH level and the degrees Brix of the mixture is measured, and adjusted to the proper level, adding honey. (Honey is added to balance the sugar level, and to change the taste of the product, which otherwise is a bit acidic.)
  7. Up to 20 Gallons of the pulp is filled in another machine ("marmita"), for the pasteurization process. This machine has double walls. Between the walls is water, which is heated by a gas flame. During the heating process, the temperature is constantly monitored. The machine is equipped with an agitator, which constantly homogenizes the temperature of the product. The product is heated to a maximum temperature of 75 degrees C (which does NOT destroy the most precious phyto-nutrients and plant enzymes!)
  8. The product is packaged warm, (using a machine which extracts the warm product from the "marmita") into bottles, which then are laid on the side, to ensure the elimination of any possible contamination.
  9. The product is then chilled in a cold bath.
  10. After chilling, the products are labeled, and moved to a storage room, waiting for delivery.
